About Us

Fresh Bite and Meat was founded in 2014 by Sarvjit Saini, a cook and entrepreneur with over 26 years of professional chef experience. With three locations across Brampton, Ontario, we proudly provide the community with a large selection of raw chicken, goat, lamb, and fish, along with cooked Indian cuisine.

We specialize in whole chicken cutting, deboning, custom cuts, and professional meat packaging based on customer needs. Our raw selection includes premium quality chicken, organic/desi chicken, whole chicken, chicken breast, chicken mince, chicken liver, and more. We also supply high-quality goat and lamb, plus fresh grouper and salmon. All meats are cleaned, cut, separated, and packaged according to customer preferences.

In addition to serving everyday customers, we also supply wholesale meats—including chicken, goat, lamb, and fish—for parties, restaurants, banquet halls, catering companies, and other businesses that require bulk or whole meats.

For customers seeking ready-to-eat options, we offer a variety of cooked tandoori meats, marinated meats, and a wide selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries suitable for groups from 30 to 1,000 people. We also cater corporate events, ensuring fresh and flavourful dishes for any occasion. Our goal is simple: provide high-quality food with excellent service.

Our Journey

Fresh Bite and Meat began as Sarvjit’s long-time vision to open and operate his own food establishment. His culinary journey started in 1993 in Bahrain as a chef at the Metropolitan Hotel. After two years, he moved to Cyprus in 1995, becoming Head Chef with Salamis Cruise Line & Petronav Ship Management until 2003—serving thousands of guests and preparing international dishes on cruises that traveled to destinations such as Israel and Egypt.

In 2004, Sarvjit moved to Canada and worked at The Clay Oven Authentic Indian Cuisine in Brantford until 2007. He later settled in Rexdale, Ontario, where he continued gaining industry experience at Asian Food Centre from 2007 to 2014.

After years of dedication—often working 15+ hours a day, seven days a week—Sarvjit invested every dollar he had to open his first Fresh Bite and Meat location in the Castlemore area of Brampton. With strong community support, a second location opened in 2017, followed by a third in 2022, expanding our presence throughout Brampton and nearby areas.
